March 27, 2020.

Good Morning in these changing times;

Our lawn sign now reads "Sunday Service & Community Dinners Cancelled" "Let us pray for one another". There are no events taking place at the church.

We will not be worshiping together until further notice, the Good Friday and Easter services are cancelled. This does not mean we cannot be in touch through phone, internet or a friendly wave. I hope you are all staying well and observing best practices for safety. As people of faith lets not forget to bring God into the situation through prayer and praising in word and deed. Alternate services are available on the United Church website http://www.united-church.ca or Google United Church official site, scroll down to "blogs", and then click on the service for this week, by the Moderator Richard Botts, it is up now. Again my favourite when not in church is "Church of the Rock" on TV at 9:30am and 2pm found on Winnipeg CITY TV. It is ˝ hour, fast paced and light.

The food bank is very low on food. Again we dropped off food this week and the community are really helping through donations. Everything is welcome including fresh produce. I'm sure if enough of us make a suggestion the treasurer (Janet) would be glad to send another cheque. Dave and I are offering to shop for anyone who is restricted due to health, child care or self isolation. Please let us know as the fewer trips to the store for everyone the better.

Only one person asked for hand sanitizer for those who need to go out, so I still have some.

Our prayers are with you all, it is truly a time for “prayers of the people “ and keeping in touch with each other.

With faith and Prayers

Prayers of the people

Heavenly Father, Creator God

We ask that you bring your blessing on this congregation and all those in our circles of caring.

We also ask for your wisdom and guidance for our world leaders and health care, and service providers in this time of global uncertainty. Strengthen our faith, that you have a plan and you will see us through the crisis. Be with all those suffering in any way from this virus whether through health, disruption of plans or financial adversity.

Please bless and prosper our ministry as we seek to spread your message in our community and beyond.

In Jesus' name
Amen
